GPS Gazette

WP Themes

I decided to keep all the themes in one page so that I won’t clutter the site. I am currently keeping the two previous pages but from now on all themes will be posted here. The reason is that the main focus of the site is GPS related news and I don’t want to create a large number of “off-topic” pages.

The first theme posted in this page is called Magellan. It is based on the Navigation theme bu it has a dark color scheme. Screenshot below.

3 Column Cutline

Cutline is by far one of my favorite themes that was developed by Chris Pearson, however I really prefer three column themes instead of two column ones so I decide to make a three column version. The only modifications that I did was to add the third column, not a lot more were changes. Also I added widget support for the second sidebar as well, so both sidebars of the theme are widget ready. Below is a screenshot and the live preview and download links.

UPDATE: I have updated the Cutline 3C to version 1.1. Originally I was planning to do a partial update of only the files that needed change but then I realized that this might create some confusion. The updated theme can be downloaded from here

UPDATE 25/02/2007

I have released three more themes, Blueline, BluelineRC and Greenline. They are basically variations of the same template with different color schemes or different sidebar placement. They are all three columns fluid width themes that support widgets (both sidebars). Below you can see the screenshots and links to live previews and the download links.

A new theme called Pinkline is available, you can view it and download it here

GPS Wordpress Theme

I have just released a new theme called GPS (how original :) ). It is a very light theme that uses almost no images with a light blue color scheme. As the previous themes it is widget ready (both sidebars). Below is a screenshot.

Are you planning to update the 3-col Cutline theme to incorporate all the changes in the Chris Pearson’s new version of Cutline? (Cutline 1.1, released feb 7, 2007)

I hope so, because I really love the 3-col version.

Hi DF, I will probably release a partial update (create a custom css that the new theme supports and a couple of files that need changing). I don’t want to release it as an entire theme. The new version should be fairly simple to modify but I haven’t really looked into it yet since I have been ill the last few days.

    Hi,

Can your theme be rearranged to put the text in the center, with the sidebars on either side? If so, is it easy enough that you could give some quick instructions?

    Thanks,
    Jay

Yes, please update 3c to match Pearson’s update. I’m having some minor issues with your 3c version on WP2.1. Thanks for a great theme though!

I have the same question as Jay: How can I move one of the sidebars to the left side of the screen?

    Hi Oyvind,

I am afraid it is not a simple modification for me to just post a simple guide, I may release a version like that in the near future if I find the time to work on it.
